Montefiore dell’Aso is a small elliptical shaped, medieval, fortified village with six towers and two gates (porta) dating back to the 14th,15th and 16th centuries.

The Piazza della Repubblica is the heart of the village and is dominated by the St. Lucia Collegiate Church, a loggia and the civic bell tower.
