Montefiore dell'Aso is a rare blend of culture, history and natural beauty.
"Highly recommend a visit for anyone needing a complete change of scene..."
"The word "unspoilt" is overused but Montefiore dell'Aso is the genuine article. A fantastic sense of history permeates this ancient hilltop village where nothing happens fast and nobody is in a hurry. With far-reaching idyllic views and easy access to cheerful beaches populated only by Italian holidaymakers the only real decisions we had to make were around food and swimming (now or after a delicious lunch?). Best of all, our three children were not only tolerated but warmly welcomed by everyone we met. So relaxing. Highly recommend a visit for anyone needing a complete change of scene, and a respite from the busyness of city life."

Montefiore dell'Aso is a member of the exclusive ‘Most Beautiful Villages in Italy’ club, “I Borghi Piu’ Belli d’Italia”. The club was created in 2001 by the National Association of Italian Communes with the aim of protecting, preserving and revitalising small towns or villages which are recognised as being of great importance although they are not included in main tourist circuits. Montefiore dell’Aso is one of 19 (selected from a total of 236 villages in Le Marche) to have been admitted to this club.
Montefiore dell'Aso is the ideal location for exploring Le Marche.
The origin of the name is traditionally linked to the cult of the goddess Flora (Mons Floris), a rural divinity worshipped by ancient Italic populations before the Roman conquest. It is in the perfect location as a starting point for you to experience the best of Le Marche.
